Do you know “manga kissa” ? -comic café, Internet café-

Manga kissa are cafés, which like bookstores, have a wide selection of comic books and customers can read comic books and/or magazines freely as long as they pay an hourly fee. Depending on the shop, they have services such as Internet, drink bars, napping spaces, shower rooms and they are also called “net cafés”. People are able to stay overnight at stores that are open until late at night, so after the collapse of the bubble economy, more and more people who work have come to use the manga kissa as a place to sleep at night. These people are labeled “net café refugees” and this issue has become a social problem.
